## Choose Ratio if

You want a fast, beautiful notepad calculator on your Mac, Windows PC or Linux machine, without paying $59. Ratio also has plenty built in for work: VAT by country (“1000 + VAT”), loan payments (“pmt(5%/12, 360, 200k)”), working days that skip public holidays, equations, and developer helpers like hex, colours and “chmod 755”.

## Choose Soulver if

You need your sheets on iPhone and iPad, want Wolfram|Alpha answers, or prefer a long 60-day trial before buying.

## Moving from Soulver

Most Soulver lines work in Ratio as they are. Copy a sheet, paste it into Ratio, and the answers appear. On the Mac you can also choose File › Import from Numi or Soulver… for a sheet saved as a text file: line references like `line3` become Ratio's `L3`, and `---` dividers end a block.
